The South Jersey Chapter of the New Jersey Society, Sons of the American Revolution, was founded in 1923, serving Southern Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties. The Sons of the American Revolution is a Congressionally chartered organization founded in 1889, and a 501C3 non-profit, non-partisan service organization preserving American history and promoting education for future generations. The SAR assists veterans and their families, teachers with living history interpreters, lesson planning resources, and reenactment events for school-aged youth to attend.
