Thank you to member Bill Dorman, who was the impetus behind this idea. He spent numerous hours calling on local businesses to donate gift cards for the raffle, over $500 worth. The event was originally planned to be part of the June 9 Chapter picnic, but we have to cancel the picnic due to insufficient attendance. We learned many lessons. The next picnic will be better planned.
The winner was chapter member Frank “Skip” Dunker, who is also the President of the Springfield Historical Society and member of the Burlington County Revolutionary War Alliance. Congratulations Skip.
Thank you to all the members who participated in the raffle. Donations ranged from $200 to $10. The funds were needed to provide stipends/scholarships to the JROTC and Eagle Scout programs and included the costs for the program medals
